Robert "Bobby" Knight, 62, of Pipestem went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 13, 2016 at his home following a long illness.
Born April 12, 1954 at Princeton he was a son of Carol Lee Chapman Knight of Pipestem and the late William Franklin Knight.
Bobby was retired with 31 years of service working with the Daniels Company. He was a member of the United Steel Workers and the United Mine Workers Association.
Bobby loved fishing and outdoors, coloring Easter eggs, watching Andy Griffith and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a quiet good hearted person who never met a stranger.
Besides his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cynthia Louise Knight; three sons, Bobby Ray Knight and wife Shala of Jumping Branch, Bryan William Knight and wife Megan of Parkersburg and Billy Paul Knight and wife Alisha of Spanishburg; one stepdaughter, Cydni Patton and husband Timothy of GA; five grandchildren, Brayden, Makaila, Colton, Kaitlyn and Elizabeth; one sister, Ellen Pack and husband Larry; three brothers, Melvin Knight, Ronnie Knight and wife Michelle and Stevie Knight and wife Angie.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 20, 2016 at Cook's Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Dallas Peyton officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services at the church.
At Bobby's request following the services the body will be cremated.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
