Robert Ray "Bobby" Lilly, 60, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Beckley following a short illness.
Born July 4, 1957 at Hinton he was a son of the late Robert Eugene and Lorraine Marie Ayers Lilly.
Bobby was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran of the Baptist faith. He was a roofing contractor and carpenter who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, the outdoors and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Edward Lilly.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 39 years, Gayla Joyce Lilly at home; two sons, Tony Wayne Ward of Hinton and Brian Keith Lilly of Hinton; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Lilly and companion Sonny Whitaker of Hinton; six grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Dorian, Anna, Gabbie and Matthew; three great grandsons, Abel, Kieser and Brenten; one sister, Judy Ward and husband Eugene of Roanoke, VA; four brothers, Jack Ayers and wife Becky, Steve Lilly and wife Garnet, Jerry Lilly and companion Lynn and Mark Lilly and companion Erin all of Roanoke, VA and best friend, Roy Adkins and wife Ruth of Hinton.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2018 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt and Carlos Fred Ward Jr. officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services Monday at the funeral parlors. At his request, following the services his body will be cremated.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
