Robert W. ?Hillbilly? Swim 72, of Pipestem went to be with the Lord, March 28, 2005 at the Princeton Community Hospital. Born March 27, 1933 at Corinne, WV he was a son of the late Cecil R. and Edna Mae O?Neal Swim. A former resident of St. Paul, MN where he retired from the St. Paul Water Co. where he enjoyed his work and treasured his many friends that he made there. He was an avid gardner, outdoorsman, fisherman and always made sure that the neighborhood ladies received roses from his garden. He was a member of The Messiah Episcopal Church, Ford Parkway in St. Paul. Preceded in death by a brother; Harry T. Swim, and a sister; Shirley Rae Lucas. Survived by his loving wife BettyLou Patnode Swim formerly of St. Paul, MN, two sister; Jacqueline Swim Strattis of Pipestem and Janie Gilmer of Baltimore, MD, one brother; Michael Keesee of Meadow Creek, eight nieces; Theresa Deaver of Lerona, Vanessa Strattis of Pipestem, Michele Gilmer of Baltimore, MD, Tammie Byer and Selina Radford both of VA, Denise Tebbe, Dawn Keller, and Dyan Cooper, six nephews; Charles Gilmer Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Jason Charles Deaver of Lerona, Steven and Jimmy Cox both of VA, Mark and Scott Hansen of WI. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 2, 2005 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Minister Danny Hazlewood officiating burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. Friday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors. Richard Derby, Tom Cole, Charles Gilmer Sr., Larry Akers, and Jerry Heaton will serve as pallbearers. Charles ?Chuck? Deaver, Jason Charles Deaver, and Frank Mattson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
