Robin Renee Burgess, 55, of New River Road, Hinton, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Bower?s Hospice House following a long illness.
Born July 16, 1955 at Elyria, OH she was the daughter of the late Charles Polen and Delores Wavalene Jones Dzik. Robin proudly served her country in the United States Air Force where she attained the rank of Sgt. A former employee of the Charlotte, NC and South Charleston, WV Police Departments enjoyed riding horses, fishing, shopping and helping others.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her grandfather, Doy M. Jones; two uncles and one aunt.
Survived by her husband, David Burgess of New River Road, Hinton; grandmother, Lucille Jones of New River Road, Hinton; brother, Charles Martin Polen of CA; aunt, Aloma Arp of New River Road, Hinton; five step children, nine step grandchildren, mother-in-law, Bessie Burgess of New River Road, Hinton and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. Steve Runnion officiating. Entombment will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
