Roger Eugene Adkins, 59, of Hinton passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a short illness.
Born April 2, 1951 at Hinton he was the son of the late Russell and Sylvia Graham Adkins. He was a former employee of Liftex in Gurnee, IL, Richardson?s Carpentry and a mechanic.
Preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Steven ?Turkey? and Glenn Adkins.
Survived by two daughters, Rene Snyder and husband Jason and Dena Adkins; one son, Roger Adkins and wife Ann; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Caitlyn, Bryce, Peter, Mika, Zailyn and Laiana; former wife and lifelong friend, Betty Adkins; three sisters, Nancy Chewning, Barbara Smith and Wilma Byrd; two brothers, Philip Adkins and wife Brenda and Timmy Adkins and wife Cindy; companion, Glenna Bailey and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Keatley Springs Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
