Roger Hammonds

Roger Dale Hammonds 56, of Hinton died Sunday morning October 23, 2005 at his home following a short battle with cancer. Born February 12, 1949 at Elton he was a son of the late Ben F. and Nellie J. Harron Hammonds. Roger enjoyed singing and listening to music. Preceded in death by one brother, Albert Hammonds and one sister, Vinney Ward. Survived by three brothers, Arnold Hammonds of Hardy Co., Ben and Raymond Hammonds both of Hinton; two sisters, Juanita Bragg of Hardy Co. and Viola Trout of Hilldale; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday October 26, 2005 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Rev. Ray Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Hallidan Cemetery at Green Sulphur Springs. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
