Roger McKinney

Roger Wayne McKinney, 70, of Hix, WV, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at the family home place following a short illness.
Born July 29, 1949, in Rupert WV, he was the son of the late Ralph and Joy Ann Meadows McKinney Bumgarner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister; Brenda Gay McKinney; one brother, Robert "Pete" McKinney and one son; James Dwayne McKinney.
He is survived by one daughter, Angela McKinney Ellison of Hinton, WV; three sisters, Patricia Halsey of Gastonia, NC, Joyce Moore, Gainesville, GA and Sonya Devine, Chattanooga, TN; three brothers, Ralph McKinney of AL, Lloyd McKinney of Winston Salem, NC and David McKinney of Talcott, WV; one grandson, Taran McKinney and wife, Taylor of Talcott, WV and a granddaughter, Harleigh Ellison of Hinton, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the McKinney home place at Hix, WV.
