Roger Thomas

Roger Lee Thomas, 73, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord, Saturday August 1, 2020 at White Sulphur Springs Center following a short illness.

Born October 21, 1946 at Talcott he was the son of the late William Thurman and Ellene Bragg Thomas.  A lifelong resident of Summers County he enjoyed hunting fish bait and spending time with his family, friends and his beloved cat.

Preceded in death by five brothers, William “Buddy” Thomas, Jim Thomas, John “Jitterbug” Thomas, Bobby Jack Thomas and Sammy Thomas; three sisters, Helen Thomas, Betty Thomas and Mary Landis and a special nephew, Jake Thomas.

Those left to cherish his memory include one brother, Eddie Thomas and wife Sarah of Hilldale; two sisters, Shirley Bowling and husband Elliott and their daughter Donna Meadows of Shady Spring and Catherine Adkins of Hilldale; Special nieces, Flora Adkins and son Benny of Hinton, Cathy Adkins and daughter Missy of Hilldale; special nephews, Chris and Eric Thomas; numerous other nieces and nephews and special friends, Tim O’Farrell, Thomas Sea and Tammy Adkins.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Friday August 7, 2020 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Esquire Cemetery near Hinton.  Friends may call from 11:00 am until time of services on Friday at the funeral parlors.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
