Mr. Roy Alvin Addleman, 83, of Meadow Creek, died Saturday evening, at the Cedar Ridge Center at Sissonville, following a long illness. Born June 20, 1921 in Hinton, he was a son of the late Arthur Alvin and Violet Bleau Addleman. Retired clerk-operator for the CSX Corporation, a member of the Meadow Creek Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of WWII, having served in the Phillipines. Preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Arbaugh Addleman, July 15, 1996, two brothers, Calvin and Ralph Addleman and one sister Alice Huddleston. Survived by one daughter, Judy Slate and husband Larry of Sissonville, two grandsons, Nicholas Slate of Huntington and Trevor Slate of Sissonville, and one sister, Mary Grace Surbaugh and husband Willard of Green Sulphur Springs. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Eddie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens at Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday.
