Ruby Steers

Ruby Kay Steers, 61, of Castlewood, VA, formerly of Summers Co., died Thursday, July 7, 2005 at the Russell Co. Medical Center, at Lebanon, VA, following a long illness. Born May 18, 1944 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Vida Martin Martin. Preceded in death by her husband, John L. Steers. Survived by one daughter, Rosie Culbertson and husband David of Tazewell, VA, two grandchildren, Ariel and David Culbertson of Tazewell, VA, three brothers, Billy, Everette, and Jesse Martin and six sisters, Daisy Tate, Marie Trout, Effie Rinehart, Della Mae Ayers, Delphia Meadows and Margaret Martin. Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Prophetess Laura K. Sea and Jack Martin officiating. Burial followed in the Steers family cemetery near Hinton. Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton
