Russell Clay Hatcher, 70 of Nitro passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at the home of his caregivers, Bob and Ruth Russell in Hinton following a long illness.
Born July 28, 1940 at Kanawha Co. he was the son of the late Gilbert Lee and Daisy Alice Mynes Hatcher. An employee of the state of West Virginia for 35 years, he also was the former owner of WV Carpet Steemer and WV Cleaning Service and Supplies.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Johnny Hatcher and one sister, Agnes Sturgeon.
Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Josephine ?Jo? Graham Hatcher of Nitro; one brother, Donald Hatcher and wife Anna of Hurricane, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Upper Mausoleum Chapel of Cunningham Memorial Park with Pastor Charles Larue officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday at the mausoleum.
