Ruth Faye Fitzwater Meadows, 89, of Brooks went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Springfield Center Nursing Home following a short illness.
Born July 20, 1929 at Leslie she was a daughter of the late Albert F. and Rhoda I. Davis Fitzwater.
Ruth was of the Pentacostal faith. She was a former employee of Hinton DQ and Sandman Motel. She enjoyed flea markets and spending time with family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Luther H. Meadows; one grandson, Jerry Fox; four brothers, Arthur, Paul, Jesse and Delbert Fitzwater and one sister, Anna Hamrick.
Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Linda Fox and husband Gerald of Ballard, Debra Mills and husband Ronnie of Mt. Airy, NC and Judy Lilly of Hinton; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three brothers, Ernest Fitzwater of Grassy Meadows, Roger Fitzwater and wife Doris of PA, Joe Fitzwater of Rupert; one sister, Barbara Rabiola and husband Joe of Huntley, IL.
A Celebration of Life will be 7:00 P.M. Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. At her request following the services the body will be cremated.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
