On the morning of January 27, 2008, Ruth Carol Ratcliffe took her heavenly flight. Known to many as â??Boopieâ??, she began her life on February 29, 1932 as one out of ten surviving children born. Ruth made her life as a homemaker in Hinton and was a faithful member of the Jumping Branch Tabernacle.Preceded in death by her husband, Alpha Vernon Ratcliffe; parents, Lewis Oliver and Jessie Ruby Lilly Meadows; and one sister, Glenna Reeves.Her surviving family includes, one son, Danny Ratcliffe, two grandchildren, Jesse and Jamie Ratcliffe, four brothers, James, Theman, Grover and Wayne Meadows; four sisters, Patty Hutchinson, Jeretha Coffman, Thelma Kincaid and Verna Wickline and their families.Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the Jumping Branch Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Elmo Alderman officiating. Burial will follow in the Ratcliffe Family Cemetery at Cave Ridge. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors and at the Church one hour prior to service time.Butch Mansfield, Rocky Mansfield, Denny Lilly, Frankie Ratcliffe, David Richmond and Michael McClanahan will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral Information: 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Jumping Branch Gospel Tabernacle.
