Sadie Lipscomb

Sadie M. Davis Lipscomb of Southside, died Tuesday April 10, 2007 at the Springfield Center at Lindside following a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Kyle and Edna Moten Davis, a former employee of G.C. Murphy Co., lifelong resident of Summers Co. and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sadie was preceded in death by her husband E.L. â??Shadyâ?? Lipscomb on September 5, 1971; four brothers, Delbert, Raymond, Curtis and Jerry Mike Davis; two sisters, Thelma Davis Phillips and Mildred Davis; daughter-in-law, Ethel Lipscomb; and one brother-in-law Murrell Boland. Survived by her son, Phillip G. â??Spankyâ?? Lipscomb and his wife Zonita of Southside; one grandson, Steve Lipscomb and his wife Ann of Hinton; one granddaughter, Michele Lipscomb Patrick and her husband Gary of Siler City, NC; three great grandchildren, Jonathan and Kristina Lipscomb of Hinton and Michael Patrick of Siler City, NC; three sister-in-laws, Gloria Jean Davis, Joyce Boland Hicks and her husband Guy and Shirley Boland; and one brother-in-law, Joe Boland. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from noon till time of the service on Friday at the Funeral Parlors.
