Sandra Mae Simmons, 48, of Pence Springs, passed away on December 25, 2011 from a short illness.
Born April 14, 1963 in Allegheny, VA she was the daughter of the late Sandy P. Simmons Sr. and Alice M. May Simmons. Sandra was of the Baptist Faith.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Ellen Simmons and one brother, Gary Simmons.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, R. J. Brown Jr. of Pence Springs; three daughters, Shannon Brown of Mingo Co., Kimberly Brown of Pence Springs and Jennifer Goodman of Hinton; one sister, Anna Simmons of Pence Springs; five brothers, Kenny Simmons of Fairlea, Robert Simmons of Pence Springs, Michael Simmons of Pennsburg, PA, Roger Simmons of Lewisburg and Sandy P. Simmons of Fort Springs; four grandsons, Robert Tate, Trey, Andrew and Richard Goodman and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Simmons Family Cemetery at Clayton with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
