Santana Louise Auliye Watkins, 31, of Pipestem formerly of McDowell County went home to be with the Lord and reunited with her family who has gone on before Thursday, October 14, 2021 at her home.
Born May 4, 1990 at Princeton, she was a daughter of Charles D. Auliye of McDowell County and Kay Osborne of McDowell County.
Santana was a graduate of Mount View High School. She was a certified nursing assistant who loved fishing, riding four wheelers and spending time with her family and friends, especially her two sons.
Santana was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Charles and Pearline Pack; maternal grandfather, Eddie Osborne and an uncle, Raymond Osborne.
Besides her parents, those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Joseph D. Watkins at home; two sons, Joseph and Isaac Watkins; two step daughters, Abby and Haley Watkins; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Osborne; mother and father in law, Carolyn and Freddie Watkins; step mother, Susan Auliye; two step sisters, Tiffany Presley and Kayla Truhler; one step brother, J.R. Truhler and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Rocky Mount Community Church with Pastor Michael Bennett officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 P.M. until time of services on Saturday at the church.
