Sarah Lindsay Burk Smith, 87, of Charleston formerly of Hinton passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born July 23, 1927 at Hinton she was a daughter of the late William Lindsay and Annie Gertrude O'Bryan Burk.
Sarah was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert L. "Larry" Smith and Lance K. "Chip" Smith; two brothers, William O. "Bill" Burk and James S. "Jimmy" Burk; two sisters, Anna Katherine Thompson and Margaret E. Beavers and a special cousin, Glen Patrick "Buck" McCormick.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Glen Patrick "Pat" Smith and Sharon S. Smith both of Charleston; three grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery at Covington, VA. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
