Sarah Jane Thomas

Sarah Jane Thomas, 68, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 22, 2024 at Charleston Area Medical Center General Division following a long illness.

 Born June 10, 1956 in Hinton she was a daughter of the late Frank James and Martha Ellen Dwyer Persinger.

 Sarah retired from Rite Aid in Hinton as a manager. She had a degree in Business Administration. Sarah enjoyed yard sales, gardening and her little dog, Jazz. She was a loving mother who was devoted to her children, grandchildren and her family.

 Besides her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Dean Thomas; one sister, Francis Marie Dwyer Martin and husband Junior Martin; maternal grandparents, William and Rebecca Dwyer and paternal grandparents, James and Lucinda Persinger. 

 Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Christopher Dean Thomas and Eric James Thomas and wife Mellissa of Hinton; four grandchildren, Robert Thomas, Austin Thomas, James Thomas and Jessica Thomas all of Hinton; one sister, Arlene J. Adkins and husband Mark of Green Sulphur Springs; special nieces, Elizabeth Phillips, Cathy Adkins, Donna Meadows and Ruby Williams; special sisters in law, Catherine Adkins and Shirley Bowling and nephews, Bryan Adkins and Stanley Dwyer.

 Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Eddie Crews officiating. Burial will follow in the Esquire Cemetery near Hinton. Visitation will be from noon until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
