Scott Bland Gwinn, 52, of Hinton went home to be with the Lord peacefully, Monday, September 3, 2018 at Bowers Hospice House at Beckley following a long illness.
Born May 21, 1966, he was a son of the late Carroll B. Gwinn and Anna Jean Gill-Vandall.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents Clyde Gwinn and Ada Gwinn, Morgan Gill and Lilly Gill all natives of Summers County.
He enjoyed hunting, all sports especially Nascar racing (his favorite driver was Bill Elliott) and cooking was his specialty for his family.
Scott is survived by one sister, Dianna Gwinn-Horton and companion Jeff Ward of Norfolk, VA; one brother, Shawn Gwinn and companion Mary Long-Bar of Norfolk, VA; one nephew, Nathan Gwinn of Norfolk, VA; one niece, Marina Clagett of Norfolk, VA; a multitude of uncles, aunts, cousins and a few close friends.
At his request his body will be cremated and ashes given to his siblings.
