On Thursday, October 21, 2010, Shawnna Maybell Toth, 39, of Meadow Creek passed away at her home.
Born August 31, 1971 in Elyria, OH, she was the daughter of Rebecca Fortner Fox and the late Olen Lee Fox. She attended Greenbrier West High School, loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, her flower gardens, gardening, picnics and her family cookouts. Shawnna was a beloved friend to the community and has a special place in the heart of everyone she met, she was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family dearly, enjoyed working part time at Richmond's Store in Sandstone where she waited on and greeted local customers, a dedicated firefighter with the Green Sulphur District Volunteer Fire Department at Sandstone where she had served her community with Station 12 since June 2005.
Baptized into the Baptist faith, in addition to her father, she joins in heaven her paternal grandparents, Okey and Mary Bragg Fox; her maternal grandparents, Clarence and Blanche Willis Fortner; half sister, Kim Moody; sister, Karen Fox Claypoole; brother, Estel Fox and several aunts and uncles.
To cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ray Morgan Toth; beloved son, Steven Lee Toth; sister, Anna Ratliff and husband Gary of Crawley; brother, Danny Fox and wife Denise of Belington, WV; two half brothers, David Fox of TN and Kelly Fox of Kittanning, PA and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted with Firefighter Honors 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Shepherds Care Family Worship Center in Hinton with Pastors Harry Allen, Cliff Yates, Robert Hawk and Chaplain Mike Jarrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery at Crickmer. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the church and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
Members of the Green Sulphur District Volunteer Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.
