Sherri Lynn Vandall Weikle, 54, of Greenville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 25, 2022, following a short illness.
Born February 12, 1967, in Hinton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dallas “Red” and Zola “Kitty” Boone Vandall. Sherri was an avid gardener and baker who enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister-in-law JoAnn Vandall and niece Kimberly Weikle.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Heather Weikle, Chad Weikle, and Jaxon Naylor; brother Jerry Vandall; sister Donna Wheeler; best friend for life Lisa Patton Woods; mother-in-law Margie Weikle; many sisters and brothers-in-law including special brother and sister-in-law Joe and Jayne Weikle; dearly loved nieces and nephews: Samantha Hoke and companion Dylan Rookstool, Richie Weikle and wife Hannah, Joede Weikle, Chasta Wills, Jordan and Jacob Weikle; great nephews Jace Hoke, Wyatt Weikle, Jaxtyn Rookstool, and great niece Autumn Weikle; her “other daughter” Sonya Ratliff; special friend Bonnie Bragg and fiancé Danny Norman; special friend KK Ratliff; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
Sherri leaves behind a life well lived and loved. She will be remembered for her fiery temper, fierce loyalty, and sheer force of will. She had more strength than anyone and fiercely defended those she loved. She’ll be remembered as the quintessential 90s mom who always had the neighborhood kids at her house, was open for any adventure, and made the best homemade pizza. She loved horror movies, ghost stories, and historical dramas.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2022, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Minister Walter Dekle officiating. Burial will follow in the Tempa Baptist Church cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
