Shirley Wheeler

Shirley Ruth Ann Wheeler, 87 of Willowood Road departed from this life on July 28, 2007 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a long illness. Born December 16, 1919 in Summers County she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Virginia Ann Carson Keffer. Preceded in death by three sons, Jackie, Donald and Pete Wheeler; four brothers, Asel, Ted, Arlie and Clark Keffer; three sisters, Opal Wiseman, Emma Keffer and Mary Helen Seldomridge and several step brothers and step sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are eight children, Ronald Wheeler and wife Margaret of Trezevant, TN, Bill Wheeler and wife Melva of Indian Mills, Linda Cales and husband Bobby Joe of Hinton, Ernie Wheeler and wife Becky of Forest Hill, Jimmy Wheeler of Alderson, Garry Wheeler and wife Diana of Willowood Road, Jerry Wheeler and wife Christi of Talcott and Johnny Wheeler and wife Tandy of Phoenix, AZ. Shirley also leaves behind twenty three grandchildren, Melinda Bukovi, Michelle Mattix, Ronnie, Christopher, Mark, Philip, Ashley, William, Petie, Shane, Jerry Jr., Sherri Ann, Tessa, Sara, and Tara Wheeler, Michael and Bobby Cales, Susan Dickenson, DeeCee and Shenandoah Cochran, Alexis Cadle, Charlie Coleman and Cody Tillman. Fifteen great grandchildren, one sister, Ruby Wheeler of Hinton, two brothers, Gene and Eugene Keffer and special caregivers, Sharon Gorden and Doris Holley. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bobby Rex Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Knob Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 P.M. on Monday at the Funeral Parlors. Her sons will serve as pallbearers.
