Stacy Young Jr.

Stacy N. Young Jr., 71, of True went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 28, 2021 following a short illness.

Born March 15, 1950 at Pipestem he was a son of the late Ned and Marie Farmer Young.

Stacy was a contractor of 43 years. He was a member of Cooks Chapel Baptist Church and Pipestem Ruritan Club. Stacy enjoyed singing and playing music and was extremely talented at both. He also enjoyed farming, helping those in need and spending time with family and friends.

Stacy was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Young.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Bonnie Chewning Young; one son, Stacy Allan Young and wife Stacie of True; one daughter, Alisa Young Lane of True; seven grandchildren, Bret, Aleks, Ethan and Colton Lane and Michael, Isaac and Martie Young; two great grandchildren, Liam Lane and Kennedy Lane and five siblings, Shirley, Lois, Wanda, Janet and Faron.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Cooks Chapel Baptist Church with Pastors David Board and Dallas Peyton officiating. Stacy will be buried at the feet of his parents in Ellison Cemetery at Pipestem following the funeral service.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Saturday at the church.

Stacy’s grandsons and son will serve as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to Pipestem Christian Academy, P.O. Box 49, Pipestem, WV 25979.
