Stella B. McGraw,95, of Brooks, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born May 2, 1915 at True she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lona Hedrick Pitzer.
A lifelong resident of Summers Co., a homemaker, she loved the Lord and was a member of the Brooks Baptist Church, enjoyed raising a garden, tending to her roses as well as being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. McGraw and all of her brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survived by one daughter, Gloria Lilly of Brooks; three sons, Ernest Lee McGraw of Shady Spring, Benny McGraw of Courtland, OH and Charles McGraw of Edinboro, PA; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from noon until service time on Thursday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
