Susan Jean Whittaker, 56, of 171 Pleasant St., Hinton, died suddenly Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at her home. Born February 19, 1952 at San Antonio, TX, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Jeane Wolf Brunk. Sue had worked for the Tassos family for many years at the Hinton Hot Dog Stand and The Bobcat Den. Most recently she had spent a great deal of her time at POPâ??s surrounded by her many friends. Survived by her husband, John W. â??Billâ?? Whittaker, three daughters; Christine Jablonski of Carmel, NY, Melissa Whittaker of Jumping Branch and Amanda Tyler of Charleston, one son; William A. â??Billyâ?? Whittaker of Jumping Branch, seven grandchildren; Chase Jesse, William, Morgan, Samuel, Ethan and Lila, two sisters; Jo Ann Schillreff of Hinton and Robin Ward of Fredericksburg, VA, one brother; David Brunk of Pittsfield, MA and other loving family members; Margaret and Michael Dennett and Jack and Jewel Whittaker. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Quesenberry Cemetery at Jumping Branch with Bishop Cecil Welch officiating. There will be no visitation. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
