Terri Lee Spanbauer Taylor
In the midmorning hours December 2, 2017 our precious, wife, mother, mamaw, sister and family treasure slipped away to be with her Heavenly Father for Christmas this year. Her pain and suffering is gone forever. Her precious Lord knew she had had enough and took her by the hand and led her gently home. She was born June 7, 1958 in Salem, OH to the late Robert R. and Marilyn Jean Spanbauer and graduated from King George High School, VA in 1976.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Spanbauer; a sister, Susie Spanbauer; and a brother-in-law, Stanley James Blackburn.
Terri is survived by her beloved husband, Orrie Joe Taylor of Hinton; two sons, Sean Spanbauer, and wife Tracey of Fountain, CO, and Joshua Henderson and wife, Ginny of Pipestem; one daughter, Angela Romanello and husband, Charles of Hinton; an Honorary daughter, Crystal Perez, and husband, Mario of Salem, OH; one sister, Kathy Blackburn of Salem, OH; two brothers, William Spanbauer of Salem, OH and James Spanbauer and wife, Lisa, of Maumee, OH; Grandchildren, Cody Leigh of Fountain, CO, Carley, Kaylie, and Matthew Romanello of Hinton, Joshua, Lillian, Vivian and Noah Henderson of Pipestem; Honorary grandchildren, Tori Rishel, Cecilia, Jose, Mateo and Sofia Perez of Salem, OH; many nieces and nephews; Her first husband, Frank Henderson (father of Angela and Joshua) of Hinton, and a dear friend, Brenda Garcia, of Pipestem, whom she thought of as a sister.
Terri was a woman of many talents, and had the ability to make and keep good friends. She always had family around and always enough extra food cooked to feed whoever dropped in. She was always in demand for large group dinners through several large companies. She could plan and prepare on very short notice. The Christmas cookies and special items she made were unforgettable to her family and friends. Terri always gave trays of cookies and candy to those she loved, and she knew they looked forward to them.
Terri was a hard worker, but also fun loving. Her Bingo games on Friday nights, camping, fishing, and the West Virginia State Fair were all family pastimes. Terri loved having her grandchildren with her.
Terri's love for Jesus and her strong belief in God's love made her a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her strong family ties kept her close to her brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and friends. She was always ready to help each one of them any way she could. She opened her home to them and welcomed them in whenever needed.
So Terri as you reap the rewards and blessings of your precious Savior, know that we love and miss you always. We know you will always be with us as our guardian angel, still protecting, loving and caring for your precious family and friends.
