Thomas L. Bonds, 80, of Big Creek Road, Hinton was ushered into heaven, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Bower?s Hospice House in Beckley, following a long illness.
Born August 15, 1932 in True,WV to the late Rrena McGraw Tincher.
He was a former employee of Mack?s Transport and Williams Transport in Hinton. Thomas enjoyed going to church, watching his grandson race, caring for his dogs and spending time with his family and friends.
Preceding him in death include his wife; Betty Jane Bonds; two brothers, John Elwood and Jesse Calvin Meadows and one sister, Bessie Mae Bonds.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Carolyn Adkins and companion Gary Cook of Jumping Branch, Michael Bonds and Connie (Joe) Snyder both of Hinton, Shirley (Franklin) Simms of Danese, Betty Lou Adkins, Doris Bolt, James Bolt and Eugene (Ramona) Bolt all of Hinton; one brother, Terry Richardson; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Eddie Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery at Powley?s Creek. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral parlors. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
