Thomas K. Morris 58, of Talcott passed away Thursday, June 03, 2010 at Allegheny Regional Hospital, Low Moor, VA following a long illness.
Born October 29, 1951 in Ballard, he was the son of the late Mrs. Florence V. Adams. Thomas, who went by Tommy graduated from Delcastle in 1971. He worked for 20 years at Riverside Hospital as a nurse in the O.R. and was loved by medical staff and patients alike. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to fish with his niece Chelsea Woodson. He was a Mason, a car buff, dedicated to his friends, and when it came to family, he was the glue that bonded us together. As a lover of animals, he spent much of his time with his horse ?Red? and became lovingly known to his family as the ?Horse Whisperer.? He lived hard, died hard but will be loved forever by those who knew him as the man he was.
Besides his mother he was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph T. Morris and his grandparents, O.T. and Sadie Hamilton.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories his loving family: wife Shelby Mann Morris of Talcott; three children, Monica Fuentes and husband Jorge of Boyds, MD, Desiree Dennis of Delaware and T.K. Morris of Pennsylvania; one brother, Michael Adams and wife Angela of Newark, DE; one sister, Kathy Fountain and husband Anthony of Laveen, AR; four grandchildren, Jasmine, Charmaine, Anthony and Andrew; three nieces and nephews, Ashley Benson, Alegna Adams and Shannon Fountain; three aunts, Mildred Guy, Bessie Anderson and husband Henry and Shirley Gilmer; one uncle, Otie Hamilton and wife Shirley, a long list of cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Bishop Fred T. Sims and Rev. Greg Scott officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Monday.
Per Tommy?s request his body will be cremated after the service and interment will be held at a later date at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Ballard.
