Thomas Murphy III

Thomas Patrick Murphy III, 67, of Meadow Creek formerly of Dixon, IL went to be with his heavenly father Monday, July 6, 2020 at his home.

Born November 11, 1952 at Philadelphia, PA he was a son of Thomas Patrick Murphy II and Julia Bennett Murphy.

Thomas had twenty seven years of service with Raynor Garage Door as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. Thomas enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by one twin brother, Mike Murphy and one sister, Kathy Zalwack.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of twenty seven years, Cheryl Thompson Murphy; two sons, Eric and Thomas; one daughter, Renee; seven grandchildren, Zoey, Michael, Ashley, Katie, Zain, Aydan and Tommy; great grandson, Wesley; two brothers, Jerry and Patrick Murphy and three sisters, Virginia Murphy, Jane McCarty and Bernadette O’Keefe.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Harry Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of services at the funeral parlors. For the safety of the family and community precautionary guidelines will be followed. Following the services the body will be cremated.
