Tom R. Plumley, 77, of Hinton died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Hilldale, following a long illness.
Born March 15, 1935 at Glade, WV he was a son of the late J. Amos and Nell Ward Plumley.
Tom lived most of his life in Hinton and was a 50 plus year member of the Hinton Masonic Lodge AM&FM. He was a US Army Veteran where he served as military police and was a retired conductor for CSX railroad.
He is survived by his twin sons, Tommy Plumley and wife Cheryl of Jumping Branch and Tim Plumley and wife Pam of Jacksonville, NC; three grandchildren, Jarrod, Matt and Jill; ex-wife, Wilma L. Plumley of Hinton, two brothers, Melvin Plumley and wife Vivian of Hinton and Fred Plumley and wife Rita of Hinton and one sister, Norma Willett and husband Jim of Punta Corda, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Fox Cemetery at Brooks. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral parlors.
Hinton Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers and conduct graveside rites.
