Tracie Gill Cales

Tracie Lynn Gill Cales, 48, of Meadow Creek went home to her heavenly Father Monday, May 11, 2020 at her home following a sudden illness.

Born March 13, 1972 at Hinton she was a daughter of the late Bernie C. and Margaret J. Knapp Gill.

Tracie attended Meadow Creek Baptist Church. She was a former substitute teacher for Summers County Board of Education and a member of the CERT team. Tracie was active in youth sports of Summers County. She was a kind, loving soul who never met a stranger. Tracie enjoyed the outdoors and loved animals.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Ratliff and a sister in law, Bernice Thompson.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Axel James Cales; one daughter, Amber B. Cales; one brother, Donald Thompson of Taylorsville, NC; one sister, Melissa Dotson of Hinton and many nieces, nephews and cousins she loved dearly.

For the safety of the family and community, services will be private with Pastor Ron Iddings officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local ACWP, adopt a pet or plant a tree in memory of Tracie.
