Travis Dale Cole

Travis Dale Cole, 24, of Nimitz passed peacefully in his sleep and went to be with the Lord Friday March 14, 2025, at his home following an extended illness.

Born March 30, 2000, in Fairlea he was the son of Timothy Brian and Gale Tincher Cole of Nimitz. A 2019 graduate of Summers County High School where he was a member of the FFA. Travis enjoyed music, flea marketing, spending time with his nieces and he loved planting seeds for his garden.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carroll Cole; maternal grandparents, Roy and Margaret Tincher and a special uncle, Jr. Turlington.

Besides his parents those left to cherish his memory include one brother, Gaylan Cole and companion Ashley; two nieces, Rylee and Maddy; two step-nephews, Scott and Gabe; paternal grandmother, Ann Cole; special aunts and uncle, Anita Turlington and her daughter, Shana, David Cole and Jennifer Cole and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.

Graveside services and burial will be held 12:00 pm Saturday March 22, 2025, at the Cole Family Cemetery on Sand Knob with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:30 am Saturday prior to the service.
