Tressie Ratliff

Tressie Imogene Ratliff, 79, of Hilldale went to be home with the Lord, Monday, December 23, 2013, at CAMC Memorial Division following a short illness.
Born December 26, 1933 at Talcott, she was a daughter of the late James William and Sadie Elizabeth Meadows Gill.
She was an active member of the Pence Springs Community Church. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Summers County. Imogene was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Elmo Gill; two grandsons, Christopher ?Del Ray? McGuire and James Eli Gill; four brothers, Walter Gill, Cecil Gill, Kenneth Gill, and Willard Gill; and two sisters, Madeline Adkins and Nellie Catherine Gill.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Deborah Gill and Larry Tincher of Oak Hill, and Tressie Bennett of Hilldale; one son, Evert Eli Gill and Sandy Anderson of Hilldale; three brothers, Irvin L. Gill and Iveta of Ballard, James William Gill of Monroe County, and Russell Alvin Gill of Marie; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Gill Cemetery at Hilldale. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Friday at the funeral parlors. Jeff Bennett, Garland Adkins, Glendon ?Bubby? Cales, Marshall Meadows, Derick Triplett, Paul Weikle, and Junior Gill will serve as pallbearers.
