Pauline Richmond, 92, of Christiansburg, VA formerly of Meadow Creek went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in the Lewis - Gale Hospital, Pulaski, VA following a long illness.
Born August 17, 1921 at Clenemont she was a daughter of the late John and Willie May Carter.
Pauline was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church at Forest Hill. Pauline was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren, crocheting and attending church functions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Richmond and eleven siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Emily Dekle and husband Mike of FL; two grandchildren, Velma Plumley of Dublin, VA and Chris Cyrus and wife Athena of SC and two great grandchildren, Kacey Hicks and Caleb Hicks both of Dublin, VA.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
