Vera Juanita Russell Mize Kliewer, 84, of Green Sulphur Springs went home to be with the Lord, Saturday December 8, 2012 following a long illness.
Born August 25, 1928 at Abraham she was the daughter of the late Overton H. and Bessie Mae Harvey Russell. A homemaker she had lived most of her life in Green Sulphur Springs, a member of the Apostolic Church of Auburn Hills, MI she loved to fish, can, read, taking walks in the woods and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by her first husband, George Howard Mize Jr.; one son, Michael Wayne Mize; one granddaughter, Brittany Barber Mize; six brothers and eight sisters.
Survived by her husband, Elmer Vern Kliewer of Green Sulphur Springs; seven children, Edward Lee Mize of Hillsboro, Patricia Ann Maxwell of Green Sulphur Springs, James Gregory Mize of Green Sulphur Springs, Barbara Susan Matthews of Mt. Carmel, TN, Carl Richard Mize of Green Sulphur Springs, Maudie Jean Gates of Lansing, MI and Vera June Lafferty of Rochester Hills, MI; twenty grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, three sisters, Patricia Ruth Whittaker of Quinwood, Dicey Faye Miller of Hinton and Bessie Hilda Pritt of Grandview and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday December 13, 2012 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel. Burial will follow in the Halliden Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
