Vera Young

Vera Augusta Young, 102 of Peru, IN, formerly of Hinton died Friday, December 2, 2005 at 11:27 A.M. at the Dukes Memorial Hospital at Peru, IN. Born November 17, 1903 at Jumping Branch, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Nancy Etta Lilly. She married Charles A. Young, July 3, 1922 at Beckley, WV, she was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Hinton, and attended the Main St. United Methodist Church at Peru. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Young, March 25, 1971, her parents, four sisters and four brothers. Survived by one daughter, Nancy Jo Morris and husband Staten of Lakeview, AK, two sons; Jack O. Young and wife Pat of Peru, IN and David L. Young and wife Kyra of Lafayette, IN, one sister; Rhelda Meadows of Daniels, WV, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Ronald Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from noon until funeral time on Saturday.
