Vergie Ballengee

Vergie Dick Ballengee, 95, of Franklin, OH, formerly of Hinton, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Franklin Ridge Nursing Home at Franklin, OH, following a long illness. Born March 15, 1911 at Sandstone, was a member of the Upland Baptist Church and attended the Community Christian Church. She worked at Camp Lightfoot, cared for the elderly in her home, also worked at a boarding house and the Kitchen Restaurant in Hinton. Preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey Dick, in 1940, her second husband, Everette Ballengee in 1977, one daughter, Gay Dick in 1990, two brothers Everett Clay and unnamed infant brother; and four sisters, Irene Burdette, Maycle Dick, Frances Hicks and Violet Bragg. Survived by two daughters, Virginia Neuman of South Carolina and Leattras Pence of Trenton, OH; two sons, Hershel Dick of Powhaton, VA and James Dick of Winchester, VA; one sister, Bernice Richmond of North Carolina; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 9, 2006 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 1:00 P.M. until funeral time on Friday.
