Violet Mae Fox Dosier, 76, of Charleston, went to be with the Lord at 8:35 P.M. at the Hubbard Hospice House at Charleston, following a long battle with cancer. Born October 20, 1929 at Sandstone, she was the daughter of the late Ira Leslie and Violet Arrington Fox. Mrs. Dosier had lived the early part of her life in Summers Co., and had lived at Charleston for the past 30 years. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of the Starcher Baptist Church at Charleston. Preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Swartz in 1981. Survived by her husband of 31 years, Donald â??Jackâ?? Dosier at home; four children, Larry Keffer and wife Nancy of Easley, SC, Rebecca Cyrus of Peterstown, WV, Allen Keffer of Beaver, WV and Martha Morgan and husband Wayne of Ronceverte, WV; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, William L. Fox and wife Dixie of Jumping Branch, WV and James D. Fox of Hinton, WV; a friend and caregiver who became as close as a daughter, Donna Ratliff, formerly of Charleston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home at Sissonville with Pastor Tom Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Burial Park at Hinton. Friends may call at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Monday.
