Virgil Dewey ?Dee Cee? Cochran III, 25, of Clayton died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born June 28, 1984 in Mercer Co. he was a son of Victoria Smith Kesler and her husband John David of Clayton and Jimmy Ray Wheeler and companion Jennie Ward of Riverside Rest.

Dee Cee was a member of the Pence Springs Community Church, employed by P.J. Casanave Land Clearing Co. and enjoyed hunting, fishing and family gatherings.

Preceding him in death is his grandmother Shirley Ruth Keffer Wheeler and uncles Ernest Lee Smith and William Pete Wheeler.

Besides his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his grandparents; Wilford Elliott and Claudia Ailene Blevins Smith and John Walter and Jane Ellen Wiseman Kesler; one sister, Shenandoah Ailene DeShazer and husband Jeffrey of TX and many aunts, uncles and cousins.



Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with his cousin, Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 PM Wednesday. Those serving as pallbearers will be Jason Underwood, Noah and Ivan Gill, Jimmy Hammons, Jason Smith, P.J. Harrah, Carl Chapman, Jason Persinger and James ?Jay? Cales.
