Virginia Buckland

Virginia L. "Gin" Buckland, 89, of Crab Orchard formerly of Hinton went home to be with the Lord, Saturday June 8, 2019 at the Raleigh Center in Daniels following a long illness.
Born January 22, 1930 in Crab Orchard she was a daughter of the late Goff and Lola Snuffer Willis.
Virginia was a former home delivery mail carrier, seamstress and homemaker. She enjoyed manicuring her yard, gardening, canning, cooking, traveling and raising her beloved family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Hampton Harold Buckland; four brothers, Jennings, Alfred, Frank and Doug Willis; one sister, Anna Ray Goss; and a daughter in law, Linda Buckland.
Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Harold Buckland and wife Nancy of Richmond, VA, Dallas Buckland and wife Margarette of Beaver and Jerry J. Buckland and wife Peggy Filios of Morgantown; five grandchildren, Tracy Meadows and husband Jim, Greg Buckland and wife Erin, Shannon Buckland, Joseph Buckland, Sarah Johnson and husband Andy; five great grandchildren, Casey, Lindsey, Landon, Emma and Carly; siblings, Mary Buckland of Beckley, Bonnie Keaton of Alabama, Norma Pauley of Delaware, Johnny Willis of Maryland, and Larry Willis of Virginia; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bill Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery at Powley's Creek. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
