Virginia Maxine Lilly Burroughs, 83, of Mentor, OH, formerly of Nimitz, went home to be with the Lord at 2:45 A.M. May 16, 2006 at Western Reserve Healthcare at Kirtland, OH, following a long illness. Born April 28, 1923 at Ellison, she was the daughter of the late James Sanford and Vevie Ann Lilly Lilly. Mrs. Burroughs was a retired secretary for The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH with 18 years of service. She was a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church and was active in the Mentor Senior Center. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; Elizabeth Ann Epperly; a son Shirley Gene Epperly Jr. and six brothers, Darlow, Daley, Corbett, Ira, Emery and Tennyson Lilly. Survived by two sons; David Epperly and wife Gail of Menton, OH and Douglas Epperly and wife Judy of Nimitz; an estranged daughter, Virginia Faye Schindeliar and husband Matthew of Clairdon, OH; three brothers, Berkey Lilly and wife Mary Lou of Morgantown, Jonathon Lilly and wife May of Beaver and Dempsey Lilly and wife Margie of King, NC; one sister Pearl Lilly of Ellison; five grandchildren, Jason, Katie, Wayne, Timmy and Christina Epperly and four great grandchildren, Heather Epperly, Miranda Epperly, Timmy Brooks and Lilly Anna Brooks and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Don Hannah officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 6-8 P.M. Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 East 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119-1330
