Virginia Mae "Jenny" Thompson Crook, 57, lifelong resident of Forest Hill, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019, surrounded by her loving family and friends following a long illness.
Born October 15, 1961, at Hinton to the late Pence and Ruby Lee Boone Thompson, she was a mother and grandmother who worked at several stores in Hinton until her health no longer permitted. Jenny attended Roles Chapel in Forest Hill. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for her loved ones, making sugar cookies for special events, playing cards with her friends, watching her many hummingbirds on her front porch and spending time with her boys and grandchildren. Jenny was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one infant sister and one infant grandson, Easton Hoyt Crook.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Mark Allen Crook and wife Heather of Peterstown and Jared Eugene Crook and wife Lauren of Jumping Branch; five grandchildren, Chandler and Carter Crook, Piper Crook and Dakota and Madisyn Gregory and her lifelong friend, Dallas Crook.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral parlors.
