Virginia Meadows

Virginia Shirey Lilly Meadows, 85, of Hinton, died at 1:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital at Hinton, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 16, 1922 at Wiggins, in Summers Co., she was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Elizabeth Boone Wiseman. Virginia was a former employee of Willeyâ??s Hardware in Hinton, she was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Shirey Sr., her second husband, Aubrey Lilly, her third husband Joe Meadows and several brothers and sisters. Survived by one son, Ralph (Shag) Shirey Jr. and wife Betty of Hinton, two grandchildren, Sherry Lynn and Sean both of Hinton, three grandchildren, Logan, Cheyanne, and Joshua all of Hinton, several nieces and nephews and her faithful companion, â??Buttonsâ??. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton with Pastor Darrell Hamm officiating. At her request, there will be no visitation and the family requests donations of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, c/o Beth Elswick, Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital, Box 940, Hinton, WV 25951 or onesâ?? favorite charity.
