Virginia Ruth Tucker Fitzwater

Virginia Ruth Tucker Fitzwater, 85, of Hinton stepped into glory Friday, June 21, 2024 at Agape Hospice House in Summerville, SC following a battle with cancer.

 Born September 5, 1938 in Hinton, she was a daughter of the late Benny L. and Mary E. Lilly Maddy.

 Virginia was a loving, kind soul that loved the Lord with all her heart. She never met a stranger and was a true friend to so many. Her smile was contagious as was her laughter. She will be remembered as a warrior of faith. Her desire was for others to know Jesus Christ and to experience his peace and love in this lifetime.

 Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell Ray Fitzwater Sr. and two brothers, Bobby and Jimmy Tucker.

 Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Russell Ray Fitzwater Jr. and wife Paige; one daughter, Mary E. Fitzwater; one grandson, Paul Jamison Fitzwater and special loved ones, Gary Arthur and wife Margie, Nancy Cook and husband Mitch and Lyn Cook and husband Eric.

 Funeral services will be 11:30 Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Butch Honaker officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral parlors. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
