Vivian Raines, 82 of Kaufman, TX, formerly of Hinton, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Sunflower Park Nursing Home, Following a long illness. Born April 18, 1925 in Summers Co. she was the daughter of the late French and Lottie Ballengee Williams. She had lived most of her life in Summers Co. and had been a resident of Texas for the past seven years. She was retired from the Davis Stuart School near Lewisburg, a member of the Rollynsburg Baptist Church and had attended the Beech Run Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her Husband, Jesse James â??Jackâ?? Raines in 1998; one daughter, Brenda Raines and a son Steve Raines. Three Brothers, one sister, one half brother and one half sister also precede in death. Survivors include, one daughter Judy Cartes and husband Homer of Scurry, TX; one granddaughter Sherry Fleming of Forney, TX; one great granddaughter, Lauren Fleming of Forney, TX; one great grandson, Hunter Fleming of Forney, TX; Two Brothers, Ralph Williams of Hilldale and Alvin Williams of VA. Four Sisters, Verna Mae Voiers of Hilldale; Maryanna Ward of Jacksonville, FL; Leota Spade of Pence Springs; and Joyce Huffman and husband Tommy of Forest Hill. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. , Monday March 3, 2008 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Orbra Angell Jr. officiating. Friends may call at the funeral parlors from 9:00 A.M. until funeral time on Monday. Burial will follow in the Talcott Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral Information: 11 A.M. Monday at the Funeral Parlors.
