Wanda Dare Caudell Lilly

          Wanda Dare Caudell Lilly, 88, of Nimitz went home to be with the Lord June 19, 2022 at Main Street Care following a long illness.

            Born July 11, 1933 at True she was the daughter of the late Jesse Thompson and Nannie Craft Caudell.  A member of Grace Baptist Church and had worked as a Nursing Assistant at the Hinton Hospital.  She enjoyed church activities, yard sales, and spending time with her family and friends.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

            Preceded in death by her husband Paul Lilly; one brother, Bill Caudell; three sisters, Maggie Bowling, Gladys Bowling and Opal Harvey and two infant sisters, Hallie and Hazel Caudell.

            Those left to cherish her memory include two sons; Steven Lilly, and Terry Lilly and wife Deloris; three daughters, Jeanie and husband Gary Ward, Karen and husband Jack Martin and Mary and husband Tim Truitt; six grandchildren and  several great grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Butch Honaker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz.  Friends may call from noon until service time on Thursday at the funeral parlors.

            Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
