Wanda Ward

Wanda Mae Ward, 81, of Keeney Mountain passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.

Born September 10, 1939 at Ramp, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Sarah Martin Grimmett.

Wanda attended Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Summers County.  Wanda enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Plummer Ward; one infant son; one grandson, Dale Harrison Basham; one granddaughter, Melissa Basham and one brother, Marvin Grimmettt.

Those left to cherish her memory include, one daughter, Deloris Mae Adkins and husband Wimpy of Keeney Mountain; three brothers, Norville Grimett of VA, Tommy Grimmett and companion Lois of Hinton and Melvin Grimmett of Hinton and one sister, Rosie Grimmett of Talcott.

Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Cales Cemetery at Chestnut Mountain. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Friday at the funeral parlors. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. For the safety of the family and community precautionary guidelines will be followed.
