Wanda F. Masie

Wanda F. Massie, 80, of Elk Knob went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 19, 2022 in her sleep.

Born April 23, 1941 at Elton she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Mildred Samples Fleshman.

Wanda was a member of the Hinton Women’s Club and a former employee of the Hinton Hospital.  She was the owner and operator of J.L. Massie Insurance Agency in Hinton. Wanda enjoyed gardening, tanning, vacations at the beach and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Massie.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Lynne Jones of Elk Knob; one son, Gabriel Massie and wife Gabrielle of Elk Knob; one grandson, Jude Massie; four step children, Donna Duncan and husband Stan, Bonnie Dilley and husband Doug, Lisa Kleintop and husband Tim and James L. “Jimmy” Massie Jr.; two granddaughters, Kristen Hodge and Lilley Grace Kleintop; two great granddaughters, Madison Avery Hodge and Emmaline Katheryn Hodge; one brother, Robert Fleshman of Hinton; special friends, Wilma Angotti, Betty Basham and Wilma Rodes and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Elk Knob Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday at the funeral parlors. 

Pallbearers will be Johnny Angotti, Stan Duncan, Doug Dilley, Tim Kleintop, Tony Colombo, Chip Wright, Charlie Saunders and Nick Walters.
