Wayne P. McKinney

    Wayne P. McKinney, 64, of Forest Hill went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Bowers Hospice House following a year long battle with cancer.

     Born May 14, 1958 at Hix, Wayne was a son of the late Arlie and Norma Bailey McKinney. He was a 1976 graduate of Hinton High School who loved the outdoors, driving log trucks for Richard Allen and Doug Sears, fishing and hunting.

     Preceded in death by one brother, John E. McKinney.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his two children, Kimberly (Ron) Harris and Christopher McKinney both of Charleston; two brothers, J.D (Velma) McKinney of OH and H.E. (Kathy) McKinney of NC; one sister, Bonnie Cole (Jerry) of Hilldale; two grandchildren, Andrea and Nathan McKinney of Charleston and several cousins and nephews.

     Per Wayne’s wishes his body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Laurel Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Melvin Wills officiating. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to P.O. Box 760, Hinton, WV 25951.
