Willard Sears

Willard Dempsey Sears, 89 of Hinton died Thursday, August 12, 2010 following a long illness.
Born July 27, 1921 at Danese, WV he was the son of the late William C. and Virginia C. Sears. A disabled employee of the WV Dept. of Highways, he loved being outdoors and working on old cars and was a Baptist.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie Sears; one daughter, Shirley Sears Berry; two brothers, Basil Sears and Pascoe Sears and two sisters, Willovee Cyrus and Betty White.
Survived by his wife of 39 years, Georgia Mae Berry Sears; four sons, Garland Sears and companion Jean of Brooks, Joe Sears of Brooks, Ronald Sears and wife Becky of Powleys Creek and Willard David Sears of Hinton; two daughters, Addie Ward of Greenville and Martha Sears of Hinton; one step-son, Roger Berry of Whitby; three step-daughters, Bonnie Martin of Hinton, Rita Price of Fireco and Georgia Berry of Georgia; one sister, Vivian Ashley and husband Jack of Hinton, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sears Cemetery at Tug Creek. Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday at the funeral parlors.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
